Your first GraphQL query against Tridion content delivery

Exploring the Tridion Sites public content API with GraphiQL and turning the result into a simple Next.js page.

#tridion-sites#graphql#headless

Sample post — replace this with your own article.

Why GraphQL?

Tridion’s content delivery exposes a GraphQL endpoint, which makes it a natural fit for headless front ends. You ask for exactly the fields you need, and nothing more.

Exploring with GraphiQL

Open the GraphiQL console on your content service and try a query like:

query {
  page(namespaceId: 1, publicationId: 5, pageId: 123) {
    title
    url
  }
}

Next steps

  • Add authentication (OAuth client credentials) for non-local environments.
  • Cache responses at the edge.
  • Map component presentations to React components.
